  One can’t have more fun than playing with water on a hot day in a splash pool! Our School splash pool is a great place to lounge in and escape the heat. Therefore a Cool Pool party was organised for the students of Kindergarten in both the branches Ladda and Dhuri on 27 May, 2023 i.e Saturday. The day was spiced up with lots of fun where the tiny tots were dressed up in their colourful swimming costumes for the pool party. Children were thrilled to enter the pool. They enjoyed the water play in the pool which helped them to develop their motor skills and to balance themselves. It also gave them the opportunity to learn the basic safety measures they have to follow in the pool. The poolside was abundantly decorated with balloons and balls. The children were handed water balloons to play with too. Tables were arranged with delicious snacks which added ambience to the party. Mother’s Day celebration in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

  Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother, as well as maternal bond in the society. To show the love and respect to their mothers, the young, enthusiastic and adorable students of Vasant Valley Public School celebrated this most special day with lots of fun activities and  performances. Tiny tots performed dance, presented rhymes, to convey gratitude to their moms for their unconditional love. Students of Chenab House gave a melodious music performance on this special occasion. Moreover, many students recited beautiful poems filled with emotions  in the morning assembly. The students had a splendid time together in various fun games planned by the teachers. Students also carried back home a little token of love in small greeting cards made by kids which filled the air with heart-warming feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation. Also, Toddlers of Vasant Valley Nanhe Kadam of Sangrur, Dhuri and Longowal had a wonderful day full of fun with dance and card making activity

Reinforcement activities held on Saturday in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

In order to provide extra knowledge besides the prescribed curriculum, the school had conducted   various type of activities and competitions on 6th May, 2023 (Saturday)   for Grade Nursery to X, which included Poem recitation competition for Grade II to V on Burning issues of Environment, Hindi Speech Competition was conducted for Grade IX & X. Students of Nursery to Grace I had fun filled games like musical chairs, catch the ball etc. It is observed that such co curricular activities are really very important and essential for overall development of the students. Students take interest and produce good result in their respective fields.   The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. appreciated the efforts of all the participants and congratulated the winners for giving effortless performance. She also added that apart from physical and mental development, a child also learns cooperation, coordination, team spirit, leadership and aesthetic skills.

Relaxed and Thrilled day out for students of Nanhe Kadam Vasant Valley

  Field trips provide students with experiential learning opportunities by connecting classroom learning to the real world. The students of all the three branches of Nanhe Kadam Vasant Valley   went on a Field trip to different places. Nanhe Kadam, Sangrur went to Banasar Bagh, Sangrur. They enjoyed the day with playing different games conducted by our skillful teachers and enjoyed lunch under the open sky. Tiny tots of  Nanhe Kadam, Dhuri had visited Mansa Devi Mandir, Dhuri to explore their cultural heritage. They also learnt about the history of the temple and its architecture.                 Apart from these two, the students of Nanhe Kadam, Longowal spent an action packed day out in the open at SLIET campus,Longowal. They witnessed a myriad variety of colourful, aromatic flowers in nursery. They were also acquainted with different types of saplings and plants which help them to  understand the greenery around us. Field trips are a way of enhancing classroom learning by making real world connections. The field  trips give students the opportunity to observe a particular environment that enables first-hand experience of what they are learning. The students were taken to one of the famous place, Banasar Bagh, Sangrur on 6th May, 2023. The tiny tots truly enjoyed the day with playing different games conducted by our skillful teachers. They also had lunch under the open sky along with their friends. Moreover, this visit motivated them to be responsible towards environment. The children had a wonderful learning experience and were full of excitement to see such different species of plants.  The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. amazed to see students enjoying the outing and said that this would help our students to develop critical thinking and extend their learning to the real world to take meaningful actions. It was an enriching experience for the students as they could view the environment closely.

Chess Maestros of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur win big in Chess Championship

When it comes to the brain reflexes, our Vasantarians have unyielding critical thinking, logical and cognitive skills that are instilled in them from the very beginning of their school journey. The Chess Championship   Tournament-2023 was organised by Chess Association, Sangrur on 30 April, 2023 at Scholars Chess Academy, Sangrur. One of the student of Vasant Valley Public School, Sukhpreet Kaur of Grade X who checkmated her opponent and found her way to the top position, despite the participation of a massive number of students from various schools of Sangrur. Yet another champion from the same school, Khushpreet Kaur of Grade IV participated with full potential and grabbed certificate and medal. The concentration and dedication of these two chess maestros towards the game literally stunned everyone and the topper was awarded with a giant trophy. Fun Day in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

School activity days are an integral part of the educational life at all levels. It allows to break up the  monotonous routine of school and enhances the learning process of students. The last Saturday of April (29/04/2023) was indeed special for students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur as a plethora of co-curricular activities were conducted for them. Students of Grade 3 to Grade 5 had an Inter Class Poem Recitation Competition on the Burning Issues of Environment in which students thoroughly enjoyed while reciting beautiful poems. Students of Grade 6 to Grade 8 had Inter House Declamation Competition on the current issues of Environment to raise the awareness on the need of conservation of energy resources and to make them understand the importance of Mother Earth. The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged all the students to develop a sense of team spirit, confidence level, speaking skills through various competit
