Chess Maestros of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur win big in Chess Championship

When it comes to the brain reflexes, our Vasantarians have unyielding critical thinking, logical and cognitive skills that are instilled in them from the very beginning of their school journey. The Chess Championship  Tournament-2023 was organised by Chess Association, Sangrur on 30 April, 2023 at Scholars Chess Academy, Sangrur.

One of the student of Vasant Valley Public School, Sukhpreet Kaur of Grade X who checkmated her opponent and found her way to the top position, despite the participation of a massive number of students from various schools of Sangrur. Yet another champion from the same school, Khushpreet Kaur of Grade IV participated with full potential and grabbed certificate and medal. The concentration and dedication of these two chess maestros towards the game literally stunned everyone and the topper was awarded with a giant trophy.

The School Management, Principal Ma’am and the entire VVPS fraternity convey their heartiest congratulations to our masters of chess for this astounding accomplishment.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus. The students got inspired to save, love, and respect Mother Nature with all their hearts and soul.
