Remarkable Achievement in Fencing Competition: Stellar Fencing Performance and win

 


A moment to rejoice as a fencing champion Master Harbasant Singh from Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur of Grade II clinched 3rd position in the Sangrur District Fencing Championship 2023 in Under 10 held at Sangrur. The junior champ is also awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by Sanatan Utkarsh Foundation for his exemplary performance.

Fencing is excellent for honing concentration, precision, confidence, tactics, flexibility, dedication and the ability to win and lose gracefully. Competing with the top-notch players, our brilliant champ gave a stellar performance and brought laurels to the school. He showcased an energetic and enthusiastic performance which was applauded by the audience. The journey to the podium was nothing short of a saga, marked by rigorous training, relentless dedication and an indomitable spirit. 

Fencing is an elegant modern sport that has been enjoyed by people around the world. Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur ensures the holistic development of its students. It is heart- warming to see our initiatives helping children, not only in the field of education but also in the field of sports.

 

The School Principal, Mrs Anitha Rajgopalan expressed immense pride in the extraordinary talent exhibited by the champion, emphasizing the importance of fostering a well- rounded education that goes beyond textbooks. She congratulated the winner and proudly said that this victory not only brings glory to the student but also casts a radiant spotlight on the nurturing environment provided by the school.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
