"Leadership is not about a title, but about inspiring others to achieve greatness"
Vasant
Valley Public School, Sangrur, proudly
hosted its INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025-26, celebrating the inauguration of
students council members that promises
to lead with vision, courage, and inclusivity. This year’s ceremony was remarkable as students were appointed as
Captains and Vice captions in every major field-discipline, Cultural, sports,
and literary-reflecting the school’s strong commitment to empowering youngsters
. Adding to the excitement, the prestigious positions of Head Boy and Head Girl
were awarded to two exceptional students who demonstrated exemplary leadership
qualities and dedication.
In
an innovative step forward, the school introduced a new category this session:
Club Captain and Vice Captain, expanding leadership opportunities and
encouraging greater student participation in diverse interests. The entire
school cabinet and house cabinet members were democratically elected through
Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), replacing the traditional ballot system for
the first time. This modern approach not only streamlined the voting process
but also familiarized students with contemporary electoral technology,
reinforcing democratic values.
Mr.
Sanjay Gupta, Chairman of the school congratulated the newly elected leaders
and said, “Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact,
influence, and inspiration. I am immensely proud to see our students taking charge in every sphere. This is a testament
to the inclusive and progressive spirit of our school. I urge all leaders to
work with integrity and dedication, setting an example for their peers.”
Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan, the School Principal
, expressed her pride in the students and the smooth execution of the new
voting system. She remarked, “Today is a proud moment for Vasant Valley Public
School. By giving equal opportunity and responsibility to our girls, we are
nurturing future leaders who will shape a better tomorrow. I congratulate all the
cabinet members and encourage them to lead with empathy, courage, and vision.”
The
Investiture Ceremony concluded on a high note with heartfelt thanks and a
renewed commitment from the student council to serve the school community with
dedication and passion. This event not only marked the beginning of a promising
leadership tenure but also underscored Vasant Valley Public School’s dedication
to fostering equality, innovation, and democratic spirit among its students.
