  Poetry is the core of literature”. To spread the fragrance of poetry among the children, a Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was held for Nursery to U.K.G. students in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur on 5 August, 2023. The students chose a variety of topics for their recitation like nature, trees, flowers, mother, teacher, school environment etc., with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.    They enjoyed reciting the rhymes with beautiful expressions, thoughts and rhythm. The magic of their words and innocent gestures left everybody spellbound. The prime aim behind this competition was to boost the confidence of the tiny tots and improve their public speaking skills.   The Principal of the School, Mrs. Anitha R. applauded the efforts of all the little ones and she also added that in the actual teaching process, reciting has often been overlooked easily but it is the basic means of developing language ability. Boys of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur emerged as winners in Football Tournament

  A student gains different abilities, experience and trust through participation in various sports and games, which help to develop their personality. Sports assist in developing the body's mental health and physical fitness. Keeping this in mind, we always encourage our students to take part in every sports category and we are proud to announce that boys of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur of Under -14 and Under-19 bagged First and Second position respectively in the Football Championship School Zone Tournament held in Sangrur. The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. congratulated the players of both the teams and conveyed her best wishes for the upcoming competitions. She also added that sports teaches us discipline, focus, dedication, hard work, commitment and teamwork and helps to keep our mental health stable and focused.

The morning began with a special assembly dedicated to children, highlighting the significance of the day and honoring the legacy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose love for children continues to inspire. In a heartwarming gesture, teachers joined students in performing a lively dance, bringing smiles and cheers from the audience .
