A 'Cancer Awareness Seminar' was conducted at Vasant Valley Public School Sangrur.

In this seminar, the team of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital made the students aware about the spreading cancer.  They informed the students about the different stages of cancer and its prevention.  They made the students aware about oral cancer, breast cancer and cervix cancer.  Principal of Vasant Valley Public School, Mrs. Anitha R.  remarked that the main goal of this day is to reduce the number of diseases and deaths caused by cancer and create awareness among people.  Cancer prevention is the first step in reducing the risk of developing cancer.  This may include maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
