Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur organized a career counseling session for Grade IX to XII in the School Campus

A successful career path usually holds two things; career prospects and the interest and abilities of students to pursue that career. A career guidance session was organized for the students of Grade IX to XII on 12th December, 2022. The main area of this seminar is “ Commerce as a career option” under NIRC , Sangrur Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The Speaker for the session was Gurinder Singh Gujral, who have achieved successful heights in commerce field. He has given more than hundred lectures on General Management and communication skills, career counseling in commerce and tax plannings. The session began with an explanation of the importance of choosing the right career in life. He motivated the students to choose the right path in their career and students have been guided about different ways of opting for commerce as a career option in the future ahead.  He provided information to students about the CA as a possible career, including how to enter the sector, when to begin preparing for the CA foundation exam, what is covered in the CA course, and what choices are available following the CA course. He also discussed the several academic degrees offered in the commerce stream, which provide a variety of flexible options allowing students to pursue careers in the sectors they are interested in. He also thanked Ms. Anitha R., the principal of the school, for giving him the chance to speak with the pupils. The lecture is also included with the idea about the future of Banking as well as the qualification and competitiveness of the banking sector. He focused on the method and system of the Banking competitive exams to be appeared and the nature of papers as well as the interviews to be faced day by day, which is going to be changed according to the time. He also stressed about the time management as well as planning of the exams to be appeared in banking.

The entire session was an interactive session and the speakers answered many queries raised by the participants. The Session helped the students to be aware of the various career options available for them. The session was very motivating which helped in boosting the confidence and morale of the students.
