Kudos to talented chess players of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

 


It is rightly said that “Chess holds its master in its own bonds, shackling the mind and brain so that the inner freedom and independence of even the strongest character remain unaffected.” We are thrilled to announce that two students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur, named Sukhpreet Kaur of Grade X and Khushpreet Kaur of Grade IV grabbed 3rd and 5th position in Chess District Tournament held on 2nd April, 2023 in Under-17 Team.

Students had  shown a stellar performance and are selected for State Tournament which will be held on 8th and 9th April, 2023 in the District of Jalandhar. The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. congratulated both the students and wished them best of luck for the next level. She stated that it was indeed quite heart-warming to know that the students of VVPS had played their moves like stalwarts with rapt concentration and made the school proud.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus. The students got inspired to save, love, and respect Mother Nature with all their hearts and soul.   The Annual Result Declaration Day was held in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur on March 30 and 31, 2024. The day began with the distribution of report cards, where students were recognized for their hard work and achievements throughout the year. It was rewarding to observe the tremendous growth demonstrated by the students who exceeded their own wildest dreams.
