Traditional fervor marks Baisakhi Celebrations at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur


 

Baisakhi Festival was celebrated in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur with gusto and religious fervor on 13 April, 2023. A special assembly was organized in which students were made aware about the historical importance of the Baisakhi festival and highlighted the punjabi culture through speech, poem, music and dance performances depicting the significance of Baisakhi. The beats of the dhol brought vibrancy to the environment.                 

A skit was also performed by the students which highlighted the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar and had left the audience spellbound. Students also paid tribute to Dr. BR Ambedkar on his birth anniversary and were told about the significance of his life and achievements. The motive behind this celebrations was to apprise the students about the rich culture and heritage of Punjab, and to enrich the knowledge about Dr. BR Ambedkar.

The School Principal Ms. Anitha R. said that the students enthralled everyone by showcasing their hidden talent on the stage and got a lot of applause. She also conveyed her best wishes to all and blessed everyone a year full of joy and prosperity.
