A colorful Teej Celebration was held at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

 


Teej festival of monsoon basically marks the significance of arrival of monsoon and is dedicated to goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva.

Keeping the theme of merriment and festivity, a function was organized at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur on 19th August 2023 for all the girls of Nursery to Grade XII. Students were made aware about the historical significance of this festival in the morning assembly. The girls came in elegant traditional dresses on this occasion and performed amazing dance and Giddha with full enthusiasm and joy on this day. Punjabi folk dances and songs made the occasion more colorful and meaningful. The female faculty members added major charm to the celebration. The event was graced up by honorable Chairman and  Director Ma’am. They shower their handful of blessings to all the beautiful girls.

The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. was overwhelmed with the preparations and creativity of students. She also appreciated the joint efforts of students and teachers. She conveyed a message that motto of organizing these kind of cultural activities is to help the students to relate and bind them with their culture.
