Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur bagged third position in State Level Badminton Tournament

 

In the recently concluded U-19 Punjab Junior State Badminton Championship 2023 under the Barnala Badminton Association held at Barnala  from 4th August to 7th August, 2023, students of VVPS put on a stellar show.

Agamya Rishi and Abhimukt Rishi of Grade X  participated in the competition and bagged bronze medals in mixed double category.

Congratulating the medalists, the School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. was delighted with the performance of young players, and hope that they will continue to win accolades for the school in the future. She also added that the school always seeks to cultivate and nurture a climate of excellence be it in academics or sports. This win is a manifestation of all the efforts of students, sports teachers and parents.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus. The students got inspired to save, love, and respect Mother Nature with all their hearts and soul.
