Tween from Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur wins in Chess Championship

 


Our joy knows no bounds to share the remarkable achievement of one of our student Khushpreet Kaur of Grade IV studying in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur who stood at third position in Punjab State Chess Championship in U-11 group held at Ludhiana. She was honoured with Trophy, Book and appreciation certificate. This is a commendable accomplishment for the school as well as parents of the same girl who has been in this game for so long, and had a few odds to beat to compete in this competition.

The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. heartily congratulated the winner on her well deserved victory and wished all the glory and feats of fame in future. She concluded by saying that everyone has the fire, but the champions know when to ignite the spark.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus. The students got inspired to save, love, and respect Mother Nature with all their hearts and soul.
