Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur acclaimed Dussehra in the School Campus with full zest and zeal

 


To mark the victory of good over evil, Dussehra was celebrated at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur on 23 October, 2023 (Monday) with great enthusiasm. Highlighting the significance of celebrating festivals, a special assembly on Dussehra, the festival that resonates the victory of good over evil was presented by the students.

The School students of Pre Primary Wing wore a festive look. Students showcased their performances with full fun and laughter. Students came dressed up as various characters from Ramayana. Students also mesmerized the audience with their bhajan performances. Everyone around enjoyed the serene atmosphere created by the chanting of bhajans.

This year, the school took an eco-friendly initiative to celebrate the festival without burning an effigy. The day brought more significance as the teachers and students expressed their thoughts on Dussehra followed by a soul stirring music performance was presented by the students of the choir group.

More colours were added by the students of Vasant Valley Nanhe Kadam, Dhuri and Sangrur who were delighted to celebrate Dussehra with their teachers and schoolmates. They had a great time dressing up in the lovely attire of Garba and dancing on the beats of foot tapping Garbha Songs. Students spoke on the occasion on how one could have safe festivity without polluting the environment and keeping everyone safe from diseases.

The School Principal,  Mrs. Anitha R. wished everyone a bright  and safe Dussehra  and pleaded to keep safety and clean environment as their main concern while celebrating various festivals .

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
