Melodious Marvels: Young Virtuosos Shine in Shabad Gayan Competition at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur


 

In a harmonious celebration of culture and Prakash Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, students from classes 1 to 5 showcased their vocal prowess in a captivating Shabad Gayan Competition held on 25 November, 2023. The event, which unfolded with a blend of devotion and musical finesse, brought together budding singers who mesmerized the audience with their renditions of sacred hymns. The competition not only fostered a sense of spiritual connection but also highlighted the incredible musical aptitude of our youngest performers.

 

The judges, comprising seasoned musicians and teachers, faced the delightful challenge of selecting winners from the pool of exceptional talent. Teachers, and fellow students alike were treated to an uplifting experience, witnessing the young participants imbue each note with sincerity and soul.

 

The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha Rajgopalan gave her heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and said that all the enchanting voices illuminated our school with a divine melody. This Shabad Gayan competition not only nurtured musical talents but also reinforced the importance of cultural expression and spiritual resonance among our budding scholars.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
