*Strategic Brilliance and Checkmate Triumph: Our brilliant little champ, Khushpreet Kaur clinched first position in District Chess Championship

 


A moment to rejoice as a one of our brilliant little champion , Khushpreet Kaur of Grade IV has won first position Under 9 Category Amateur below 2000 District by Chess Championship. It's a gratifying and notable moment for the school. Representing the esteemed Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur the winner student navigated the field of formidable opponents with finesse and skill that left the spectators in awe. The journey to the podium was nothing short of a saga, marked by rigorous training, relentless dedication and an indomitable spirit.

The Championship witnessed the rise of prodigious minds. Every move was a testament to their months of rigorous training, analysis and an insatiable thirst for excellence.

The School Principal, Mrs Anitha Rajgopalan congratulated the winner and proudly said that this victory not only brings glory to the student but also casts a radiant spotlight on the nurturing environment provided by the school. As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory.
