Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur paid tribute on Martyrdom Day of Char Sahibzade
The tenth Guru of the
Sikh faith, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four beloved young sons – Sahibzada Ajit
Singh Ji, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji, Sahibzada
Fateh Singh Ji inherited Guruji’s legacy of true grit, spirit, wisdom,
spiritual knowledge and the ability to sacrifice everything for their honor and
faith.
In commemoration of the
Char Sahibzadas, Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur and its children paid
their respects through special assembly conducted in the morning. Children were
briefed about the history of Char Sahibzadas. They paid tribute to the Char
Sahibzadas by reciting poems and religious songs that eulogized their
undeterred faith, unmatched bravery and submission to the will of God. The
School Principal, Mrs. Anitha Rajgopalan appreciated the efforts of the
students who have recited poems or songs very well and she also added that the
awe-inspiring valor, and courage of four Sahibzadas against the tyrannical rule
of Mughals is unparalleled in world history. The story of the Char Sahibzadas
personifies hardship, fearlessness, determination and resilience. The
remembrance of their martyrdom fills our soul and heart with reverence and
veneration. Through this brief organized assembly, children were made aware of
the qualities that made Sahibzadas immortal in history and our memories. The
School Chairman, Mr. Sanjay Gupta blessed the students and also inspired
students to follow the ideals set by the Sahibzadas and to be courageous, brave
and to stand by their faith strongly.
