Republic Day Celebration: A celebration of our democratic ethos

 


Republic Day marks the adoption of India's constitution and the

country's transition to a republic on January 26, 1950, formally

becoming a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur paid tribute to the visionaries who

tirelessly worked towards crafting the constitution.

Students delivered Republic day speeches reflecting the significance of

the day and its values. Patriotic songs, poems and musical renditions

added the vibrancy to the festivities. The celebration showcased a

harmonious blend of patriotic fervour and the adaptability of a nation

that embraces its diverse cultural landscape.

The Chairman of the school, Mr Sanjay Gupta paid tribute to the

arduous struggles, countless sacrifices and fervent aspirations of a

nation endeavouring to attain self- governance.

The School Principal, Mrs Anitha Rajgopalan wished and motivated the

students and said that Republic day is not just a commemoration, it's a

reaffirmation of the power vested in the people, emphasising their

responsibilities in shaping the nation's destiny.
