Little Green Thumbs of Vasant Valley Public School Blossom on Environment Day
Vasant Valley Public
School’s, Sangrur pre-primary students celebrated Environment Day, which is
commemorated annually on June 5th. Tiny tots utilized their summer vacations by
growing tiny gardens in pots. With eager hands and big smiles, they carefully
placed seeds in soil and watered them throughout vacations. By planting and
caring for their own plants, they learned about responsibility, growth, and the
interconnectedness of our ecosystem.
This activity taught
them about the life cycle of plants and the value of nurturing our environment.
Therefore, plant-in-a-pot activity on Environment Day is a wonderful way to
teach them about the importance of taking care of our planet.
Our school Principal,
Ms Anitha Rajagopalan felt proud of Vasant Valley’s tiny tots taking their
first steps towards becoming eco-conscious citizens. She remarked ‘’This
initiative not only teaches our young minds about the importance of
sustainability but also instills a sense of responsibility and compassion for
our planet.’’
As they nurture their
plants, they will learn valuable lessons about growth, care, and the
interconnectedness of our ecosystem. Let us continue to inspire and educate
each other to make a positive impact on our environment.
