Fancy Dress Competition held at Vasant Valley Public School

 

Costumes are vital aspects of a character. Fancy dress encourages a learner to think outside the box and express their point of view of the world around them. Keeping this spirit in mind, Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur hosted the Fancy Dress Competition on 14th August,2024  in which students of Grade I to IV participated.

The theme-based competition included two categories: Freedom Fighters and Great Indian Leaders for grades II,III and IV respectively. The young learners looked vibrant and magnificent in their costumes. The performances included profound imitations of great leaders who shaped our Nation's Destiny.

The School Principal Ms. Anitha Rajagopalan said that such competitions give a wonderful platform to young artists to showcase their talent and build their confidence. Ms. Rajagopalan suggested that such platforms should be provided more often to the students as it helps them in honing their creative skills. The Chairperson Mr.Sanjay Gupta wished the little stars the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.   The Annual Result Declaration Day was held in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur on March 30 and 31, 2024. The day began with the distribution of report cards, where students were recognized for their hard work and achievements throughout the year. It was rewarding to observe the tremendous growth demonstrated by the students who exceeded their own wildest dreams.
