Raksha Bandhan Celebrated at Vasant Valley Public School: A Day of Compassion and Joy

 

Vasant Valley Public School had a heartwarming celebration of Raksha Bandhan.

The students of Vasant Valley Public School extended their festive spirit beyond

the school walls by visiting the Pingalwara in Sangrur. This special place, which

cares for the elderly, those with poor health, and individuals without family

support, became the center of joy and compassion as the students celebrated the

festival with the residents.

The day was marked by the traditional tying of rakhis, symbolizing the bond of

protection and care. The students tied rakhis to the residents, many of whom

were visibly moved by the gesture, appreciating the warmth and affection shown

by the young visitors.

The celebration continued with the distribution of sweets, bringing smiles to the

faces of all those present. The students and residents shared stories, laughter,

and heartfelt moments, creating memories that will be cherished by both the

young and the old.

Speaking about the event, the school principal emphasized the importance of

teaching students values of empathy and community service, noting that such

initiatives help bridge the gap between generations and bring light into the lives

of those who need it most.

This Raksha Bandhan celebration at Pingalwara was not just about the rituals, but

about spreading love and kindness, reflecting the true essence of the festival. It

was a day that left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who participated,

reminding everyone of the importance of caring for each other, no matter the

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
