Vasant Valley Public School Celebrates CBSE Shiksha Saptah with Diverse Activities:
Vasant Valley Public School recently concluded a vibrant and engaging week-long celebration of the CBSE Shiksha
Saptah, held from July 22nd to 28th, 2024. The event highlighted various educational themes and activities, each day dedicated to a unique aspect of learning and development.
Day 1: TLM Day The week kicked off with Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) Day, featuring a plethora of creative activities. Students participated in poster making with thought-provoking slogans, a reading activity to foster a love for books, and an entertaining puppet show. They also created colorful boxes, showcasing their artistic talents.
Day 2: FLN Day The focus shifted to Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) on the second day. Engaging storytelling sessions captivated the young minds, and students enjoyed activities using the ‘Jadui Pitara’ (Magic Box), which made learning fundamental concepts fun and interactive.
Day 3: Sports Day Sports Day brought traditional games to the forefront, celebrating India's rich cultural heritage. Students enthusiastically participated in games such as Kanche (marbles), Hoop rolling, Nondi (hopscotch), Posham Pa, and Bhalafenk (javelin throw), reliving the joys of these timeless activities.
Day 4: Cultural Day Cultural Day was a vibrant showcase of traditional dances and customs. Students performed Bhangra and Giddha, capturing the spirit of Punjab. An exhibition displaying traditional utensils and household items provided the new generation with a glimpse into the past.
Day 5: Skill Day Skill Day highlighted the importance of STEM and Robotics education. An impressive exhibition demonstrated students' innovative projects, emphasizing the school's commitment to fostering technological skills and creative problem-solving.
Day 6: Eco-Friendly Clubs for Mission Life Day Sustainability took center stage on the sixth day with eco-friendly activities. An exhibition showcased cooking without fire, promoting healthier and sustainable cooking methods. Students also campaigned for the ban of plastic bags, encouraging sustainable practices within the school community.
Day 7: Community Involvement Day The week concluded with Community Involvement Day, emphasizing the importance of giving back to society. Teachers delivered talks on the Vidyanjali program, inspiring students to contribute to community welfare. The day ended with students serving ‘Tithi Bhojan’ (a community meal), fostering a spirit of service and community bonding.
The Principal of Vasant Valley Public School ,Mrs Anitha Rajagopalan lauded the students and staff for their enthusiastic participation throughout the week.
