Vasant Valley Public School Organised Teej Festival on August 07, 2024(Wednesday)

We at Vasant Valley public school believe that celebrating festivals in their true spirit goes a long way towards connecting students with Indian traditions. With this motivation and to experience the spirit of Saawan our Vasantarians of class Pre-Nursery to XII celebrated Teej with great fervour. The students of Vasant Valley participated in the celebration with great enthusiasm.

Students of Primary Wing were clad in Punjabi attire. They looked stunning and mesmerized everyone with their performances. They recited poems , sang songs and danced on the foot tapping numbers. They also relished the delicacies of the monsoon season.

They represented various talents that they practice and excel in their best capacity. The event was organised with the aim to educate the students about the cultural significance of the festival and the value of our rich culture, and why it should be religiously followed. The dress code for the day was beautiful Punjabi suits for girls and kurta pajamas for boys in junior block, and it was great to witness everyone participating with great enthusiasm.

“We aim to make the students aware of our culture along with the regular academics. This Teej festival was a change for them, and for teachers it was kind of gratitude gesture for all the time they spare for students’ welfare. It was great to see everyone in Punjabi cultural attire as we’ve decided the theme,” said Mrs.Anitha Rajagopalan, Principal of the school.
