Annual Sports Extravaganza 'Prathiba 2024' Lights Up Vasant Valley Public School

 

The much-anticipated annual sports event, Prathiba 2024, of Vasant Valley Public School, Ladda, Sangrur,  took place this Saturday, igniting school spirit and camaraderie in a thrilling display of athleticism, unity, and competitive spirit.

The day began with a grand formation and March Past led by the five houses of the school — Chenab, Beas, Ravi, Sutlej, and Jhelum. Dressed in their respective house colors and marching in perfect synchrony, the students showcased discipline and teamwork. The March Past was followed by the torch-bearing ceremony, a symbol of the school’s dedication to sportsmanship and excellence, marking the official commencement of Prathiba 2024.

The sports events featured a variety of track and field competitions catering to all age groups, from Pre-Primary to Class 12. Among the many events, the relay races stood out as the most exciting and highly anticipated. Cheers filled the air as each team displayed their speed, coordination, and teamwork to clinch victory for their respective houses. The tug of war added a thrilling dimension to the event, testing the strength and teamwork of participants and drawing enthusiastic support from the crowd.

Adding to the fun, the teachers and non-teaching staff participated in their own set of races, including a lively running race and a spirited tug of war, which delighted students and spectators alike.

Principal Mrs Anitha Rajagopalan congratulated the participants, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering resilience, teamwork, and leadership among students. The day concluded with an award ceremony honoring the exceptional performances across various categories, and with students, staff, and families cherishing the memorable experiences shared at Prathiba 2024.

Prathiba 2024 will be remembered as a celebration of talent, unity, and the joy of sports that truly embodied the school’s spirit.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory.
