DIWALI FESTIVITIES LIGHT UP VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL WITH VIBRANT CELEBRATIONS
In a delightful celebration of DIWALI, VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC
SCHOOL hosted a lively event filled with activities that highlighted the joyous
spirit of the festival. The entire school community came together to
participate in traditional and creative events, making it a memorable day for
students and staff alike.
The day began with a special assembly along with an adorable
ramp walk by pre-primary to Grade 1 students, who enthusiastically paraded in
traditional Indian attire, adding charm and color to the festivities. Following
this, diya decoration competition was
conducted for Grades 2 to 4 students
which bought their artistic skills to
life, crafting beautifully decorated diyas that reflected the spirit of light
and hope.
Meanwhile, Grades 5 to 10 participated in a classroom
decoration contest, turning their classrooms into vibrant spaces adorned with
colorful rangolis, diyas, and handcrafted decorations. The students creativity
and dedication truly brought the essence of Diwali into every corner of the
school.
Students from Grades 9 and 10 showed off their artistic flair
in a Rangoli competition, filling the school corridors with intricate, colorful patterns that
captured the beauty of Indian culture. Grades 11 and 12 took on the Pooja Thali
Decoration, creating exquisite thalis that combined tradition with innovation.
In the school auditorium, middle and senior-grade students
showcased their talent with solo dance performances, set to the rhythms of
traditional and Bollywood Diwali music. Their energetic and graceful dances
were a highlight, drawing cheers and applause from the audience.
The event concluded with the lighting of diyas, spreading the
message of light over darkness and hope over despair. Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan,
the Principal, praised the students efforts, saying, “These celebrations bring
us all together and allow us to appreciate the beauty of our traditions. We are
proud of each student’s enthusiasm and creativity.”
The chairman of the school Mr Sanjay Gupta added that the
school’s Diwali celebration not only embraced the festival’s traditions but
also encouraged students to bond, share, and create lasting memories.
