VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENT EXCELS IN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

 


Khushpreet Kaur, a talented student of Class 5 at VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL, has made her school and family proud by achieving outstanding success in recent chess championships.

In the Punjab State School Under-11 Girls Chess Championship held at Mohali, Khushpreet secured an impressive 2nd position. Her remarkable performance has earned her a coveted spot to represent Punjab at the National Chess Championship, scheduled to take place in Andhra Pradesh.

Adding to her accolades, Khushpreet emerged as the champion in the Women Chess Championship Punjab, held at Budhlada in Mansa district, where she claimed the 1st position.

The school management,Principal teachers, and students extend their heartiest congratulations to Khushpreet on her achievements. Her dedication, hard work, and passion for chess have paid off, and we wish her all the best for her future endeavors, especially at the upcoming National Chess Championship.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur celebrated the Earth Day with students

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
