Vasant Valley Public School Celebrates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti

 


VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL, SANGRUR, CELEBRATED the 134th BIRTH ANNIVERSARY of Dr. B.R. AMBEDKAR, a renowned social reformer and architect of the Indian Constitution, with great enthusiasm and fervor. The special morning assembly commenced in the school ground, where students and teachers gathered to pay homage to the great leader.

The assembly began with a prayer and a brief introduction to Dr. Ambedkar's life and achievements. Students presented thought-provoking skits, poems, and speeches highlighting his contributions to Indian society. The event was attended by the school management, teachers, and students.

The students and teachers paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar by offering floral tributes and reciting his quotes. The event aimed to inspire students to follow Dr. Ambedkar's principles of equality, justice, and social harmony.

 Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman of Vasant Valley Public School , extended his warm wishes to everyone on the occasion of Dr. Ambedkar's Jayanti. He emphasized the significance of Dr. Ambedkar's teachings in today's society, saying, "Let us draw inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar's life and strive to build a society that values equality, justice, and compassion. His legacy continues to guide us towards a brighter future where every individual has equal opportunities and rights."

 Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan, Principal of Vasant Valley Public School , emphasized the importance of Dr. Ambedkar's teachings in today's society. She encouraged students to strive for excellence and work towards creating a more equitable and just society. The celebration concluded with a sense of pride and gratitude for Dr. Ambedkar's legacy.

As a step towards educating, inspiring and motivating children to act, World Earth Day was celebrated on 21st April 2022 by the students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur focusing on the theme “Invest in our planet.”   A wide range of activities had been organised for students such as slogan writing competition, thumb painting, balloon painting on Earth Day so that they understand the need to restore Earth’s environment to its former glory. Tiny tots also presented a wonderful skit based on Earth Day and planted small plant saplings in the school campus.
