Punjabi Poem Recitation Competition Held at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur
VASANT
VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL, SANGRUR, HOSTED an engging PUNJABI POEM RECITATION
COMPETITION ON AUGUST 4, 2025, in its SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. Students from Classes
5 to 8 enthusiastically participated, showcasing their linguistic talent and
deep appreciation for Punjabi literature.
The
event was presided over by a panel of esteemed judges — Ms. Gurwinder and Mr.
Hardeep — both respected for their proficiency in Punjabi language and
literature. The participants were judged on a range of criteria including
pronunciation, expression, voice modulation, and overall presentation.
The
competition witnessed spirited performances from students across all houses.
According to the final results, Ravi House secured the first position, followed
by Chenab House in second place. Sutlej House claimed third position, while
Jhelum House and Beas House stood in fourth and fifth places respectively.
All
winners were awarded Excellence Certificates as a token of recognition and
appreciation for their outstanding performance. The event turned out to be a
memorable platform for students to express their creativity and connect with
their cultural roots.
Chairman
of the school, Mr. Sanjay Gupta , congratulated the participants, saying, “It
is always encouraging to see young learners take pride in their regional
language. Such events not only promote language skills but also encourage
cultural awareness and confidence.”
Principal
Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan also shared her thoughts on the occasion. “Our students
performed with great enthusiasm and depth,” she said. “This competition helps
reinforce the beauty of Punjabi language and allows children to explore their
creativity beyond textbooks.”
The
program concluded with a vote of thanks and loud applause, leaving behind
lasting impressions of talent, teamwork, and cultural celebration at Vasant
Valley Public School.
