Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur Marks Independence Day with Flag Hoisting, Stirring Speeches, Cultural Performances, and Principal’s Address

 


VASANT VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL, SANGRUR CELEBRATED INDEPENDENCE DAY at the school ground on 13 August 2025 with patriotic fervour and enthusiastic participation from students and staff, showcasing a well-orchestrated programme that highlighted national pride and student talent.

The celebration commenced with a solemn morning prayer that set a reverent tone for the day, bringing the entire school community together in unity and devotion. This was followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting, as the Tricolour was unfurled to the strains of patriotic spirit, inspiring pride and respect among all present.

Senior students delivered eloquent speeches reflecting on India’s freedom struggle, the responsibilities of citizenship, and the role of youth in nation-building, drawing heartfelt applause from the audience. Primary group students presented vibrant dance performances that celebrated the colours and culture of India, filling the ground with energy and joy. Adding to the patriotic ambiance, middle school students rendered Vande Mataram with powerful voices and great enthusiasm, stirring a deep sense of national pride among attendees.

The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan , who commended the students and staff for their dedication, emphasized the values of discipline, integrity, and service to the nation, and encouraged learners to translate patriotism into everyday actions and academic excellence.

In his message, Chairman Mr. Sanjay Gupta lauded the collective effort behind the event, urged students to uphold unity, peace, and communal harmony, and highlighted the importance of character, perseverance, and responsibility as the pillars of a strong India.

The event concluded on a resonant note with gratitude to all participants and organizers, leaving the school community motivated to embody the ideals of freedom, unity in diversity, and responsible citizenship throughout the year.
