From Festivity to Inspiration: Baisakhi Celebrated with Ambedkar Jayanti at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur
Vasant Valley Public School
celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with great zeal and cultural fervour,
creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness across the campus. The students
participated enthusiastically in the celebrations, showcasing the rich heritage
and traditions associated with this vibrant festival.
The programme began with a special
assembly highlighting the significance of Baisakhi as a harvest festival and
its importance in Punjabi culture. Students presented energetic dance
performances, including traditional Bhangra and Giddha, which filled the
environment with excitement and festive spirit. Various activities and
presentations added colour and meaning to the celebration.
On this occasion, the school also
paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
Students shared insights into his life, achievements, and his immense
contribution to the Indian Constitution and society. Thought-provoking speeches
and presentations emphasized the values of equality, justice, and education
that he stood for.
The School Director, Ms. Deepika
Gupta, also conveyed his message, inspiring students to follow the path of
knowledge and righteousness. The School Principal, Ms. Anitha R., addressed the
gathering and encouraged students to imbibe the spirit of hard work, unity, and
respect for all.
The celebration concluded on a
meaningful note, leaving students enriched with cultural values and inspired by
the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
