Vasant Valley Public School Ignites Young Minds with ‘Spark of Science’ Inter-House Competition

Valley Public School, Ladda (Sangrur), organised an Inter-House Science
Competition, “Spark of Science,” to provide students with an engaging platform
to explore scientific concepts, demonstrate their knowledge, and showcase their
spirit of inquiry. Students from Classes VI to VIII and Classes IX to X
participated enthusiastically in the competition, representing their respective
houses.
The competition encouraged students to move beyond textbook learning and apply their scientific understanding through thought-provoking questions, practical thinking, and interactive challenges. Participants demonstrated scientific temperament, logical reasoning, quick thinking, and teamwork, making the event both intellectually stimulating and highly engaging.
The young scientists displayed remarkable confidence and enthusiasm as they competed against one another, turning the event into a vibrant celebration of curiosity and scientific discovery. The competition also highlighted the importance of observation, problem-solving, and critical thinking in understanding the world around us.
The School Director, Ms. Deepika Gupta, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and commended the efforts of the teachers in providing meaningful opportunities for experiential learning. He emphasized that such competitions nurture curiosity and encourage students to approach challenges with a scientific and analytical mindset.
The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan, congratulated all the participants and appreciated their dedication and enthusiasm. She remarked that initiatives such as Spark of Science play an important role in cultivating scientific curiosity, confidence, and a passion for learning among students.
