Sutlej House Clinches Victory in the Inter-House Cricket Competition

 


Vasant Valley Public School, Ladda (Sangrur), organised an Inter-House Cricket Competition with great enthusiasm and zeal. Students from all five houses—Beas, Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi and Sutlej—participated enthusiastically in the competition. The students showcased exemplary sporting skills, discipline, team spirit and sportsmanship throughout the event.

The players delivered commendable performances in the various stages of the competition, keeping the spectators enthralled. The final match was played between Ravi House and Sutlej House. Both teams displayed tremendous enthusiasm, confidence and competitive spirit while demonstrating their cricketing abilities. Ultimately, Sutlej House emerged victorious, winning the final match and claiming the championship title.

The school’s Physical Education teachers and faculty members encouraged the students throughout the competition and emphasised the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, perseverance and teamwork. Their able guidance and continuous motivation played a significant role in making the competition a success.

The School Chairman, Sh. Sanjay Gupta, congratulated the winning team and highlighted the importance of sports in developing confidence, leadership skills, discipline and a spirit of cooperation among students. He appreciated the efforts of all the participants and emphasised that the regular organisation of such activities is vital for the holistic development of students.

The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha Rajagopalan, congratulated Sutlej House on its victory and extended her best wishes to all the participating houses. She remarked that sportsmanship, consistent effort and discipline are more important than winning or losing. She appreciated the hard work of the Physical Education teachers and students and reiterated that the school would continue to encourage students to hone their talents in sports alongside academics.

The competition concluded on a note of enthusiasm, excitement and true sportsmanship. The victory of Sutlej House filled the entire house with immense joy and pride.
