Mango Party for Primary kids in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur

  It is the time of the year when a dash of mango- the sweet, juicy, tropical fruit in any dish instantly makes the dish a hot favourite. 29 July, 2023 (Saturday) was observed as ‘Mango Day’ in Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur for the tiny tots of Kindergarten which was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm. Students had brought diced mangoes cut in artistic ways. They had made artistic crowns and mango bodies with paper and worn it as their outfit. The teachers made them aware of the benefits of this natural fruit. Children were also engaged in various creative activities such as paper tearing, pasting, and drawing of mangoes. The children were able to associate with the shape, form and size of a mango better than before, and were proud of the drawings they made. During the lunchtime, the children shared their various varieties of dishes filled with juicy mangoes which they had brought as special tiffins. Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur rocked the rackets in Badminton tournament

 Perseverance and tenacity are often the foundational traits of success. When these are combined with dedication and teamwork, the result is outstanding. That’s what the Vasantarians  have been trained for. Sports and athletics have been a constitutive segment of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur.  Two of the badminton players of VVPS named, Abhimukt Rishi and Agamya Rishi of Grade X took part in the Under 17 District Level Tournament held on 18 July, 2023 i.e Tuesday. Keeping up the legacy of splendid performance, both the players grabbed Gold Medal in Single, Double and Mix double categories of the game. They both are selected for State Tournament which is going to take place in Ludhiana. Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur enthusiastically participated in Hariyali Mission 2023

The students of Grade V to X of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur  added green lush to the city by planting more than 100 saplings at  various  places. Approximately 500 students of the same institution actively participated in Hariyali Mission-2023 and contributed in creating the Biggest Human Tree under the organization named   ‘Apna Punjab Foundation’. A World Record was made  by 11000  students from different schools of Sangrur and a tree plantation drive of 7 lac plants added another glory to this mission. Students were awarded with customized certificates.  The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. appreciated the efforts of students as well as teachers and encouraged the students to take care of the environment. She also added that students must keep the spirit up to take part in such events. All in all, it was a proud moment for the school to be a part of Hariyali Mission- 2023  which created a World Record.

Students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur excelled in SOF Olympiads

  Olympiad exams help to create competitive awareness among students at school, national and global level. These exams aim to improve problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills of students. While preparing and competing in such competitive exams, they build a positive academic foundation. They gradually strengthen the student’s analytical reasoning, logical thinking, IQ, and other skills. Our young Vasantarians participated in the different Silver zone and SOF Olympiads and won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the various subject categories. They were awarded with medal(s) as well as a certificate for their achievements. Out of 250 students, Sachin Garg and Anshika Garg were selected for second level of SOF Olympiad exam for Maths and Science and they were honoured in the school with Merit Certificate. The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. congratulated both the students and wishes them all the best for their future endeavours.

Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur conducted English Calligraphy Competition after long vacation

  Calligraphy competition was conducted with the motive to develop creative expression and to improve writing skills of the students.   It was organized on 8 July, 2023 i.e Saturday at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur for the students of Grades II to X. This competition was held with a view of the changing ways of communication due to the growing interest in computers. In today’s world, handwriting skills seem to gather little attention nowadays. The intent of the competition was to inculcate the habit of good handwriting among students. It was also conducted to encourage them to write neatly and present content in a proper manner.   Every school aims at the holistic development of students as well as teachers which is possible only when all the teachers, students and parents form a strong bond and bring a smooth transition in the Society. The foundation for good student and teacher relationship is when there is a frequent and open communication and a clear understanding of what is better for each child.   Keeping this in mind, an ‘Orientation Programme’ was organized for the teachers of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur from 29 June, 2023 to 1 July, 2023. The programme was conducted in the school campus and the prime motto was to develop the communication skills, to build confidence in them, to have active collaboration between teachers and coordinators.
