    The festival of Christmas coveys the message of love, tolerance and brotherhood and is celebrated on 25th December every year. Following the merry-making of Christmas, a special magic in the air was spread at Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. With the perspective of inculcating the real meaning of Christmas in the lives of the students, a special assembly was organized on 24 December, 2022 spreading joy and enlightenment for the Vasantarians. The students showcased outstanding performances in presenting carols, speech and singing of Christmas hymns. The tenth Guru of the Sikh faith, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four beloved young sons – Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji inherited Guruji’s legacy of true grit, spirit, wisdom, spiritual knowledge and the ability to sacrifice everything for their honor and faith. In commemoration of the Char Sahibzadas, Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur and its children paid their respects through special assembly conducted in the morning. Children were briefed about the history of Char Sahibzadas. They paid tribute to the Char Sahibzadas by reciting poems and religious songs that eulogized their undeterred faith, unmatched bravery and submission to the will of God. The 'Punjab State Amateur Chess Championship' was organized at Guru Nanak Convent School, Bhawanigarh. The Principal of Vasant Valley Public School, Ladda, Mrs. Anitha R. said with pride that the girl students of Vasant Valley Public School, Sangrur have brought laurels to the school by performing well. She said that Sukhpreet Kaur of class IX grabbed Third position in the Senior Category and Khushpreet Kaur of Class III secured Second position in the Junior category. It is rightly said that the road to success and greatness is always paved with consistent hard work and dedication and students of our schools have always proved this in their performances.  The School Chairman, Mr. Sanjay Gupta praised the efforts of the girl students and congratulated their teachers and parents and wished the children a bright future.

On , 12 December, 2022, the pre-primary students of LKG visited Smart Point Supermarket, Sangrur which was 15 minutes away from the school. Students were made aware of the different sections at the store like the fruits section, the vegetable section, the dairy section, bakery section etc. The School Principal, Mrs. Anitha R. stated that such School field trips creates great learning opportunities for students which they can continue at home. Adding to this, she said that our little champs saw a wide variety of food and goods. Children were thrilled to see magnificent supermarket. The store in charge satiated the queries of the young minds by explaining them about the working and importance of food mart.  The visit to the one roof grocers market was a great learning experience for each child. This hands-on learning experience exposed children t o a variety of foods in a fun, real-world setting.

A successful career path usually holds two things; career prospects and the interest and abilities of students to pursue that career. A career guidance session was organized for the students of Grade IX to XII on 12th December, 2022. The main area of this seminar is “ Commerce as a career option” under NIRC , Sangrur Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The Speaker for the session was Gurinder Singh Gujral, who have achieved successful heights in commerce field. He has given more than hundred lectures on General Management and communication skills, career counseling in commerce and tax plannings. In this seminar, the team of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital made the students aware about the spreading cancer.  They informed the students about the different stages of cancer and its prevention.  They made the students aware about oral cancer, breast cancer and cervix cancer.  Principal of Vasant Valley Public School, Mrs. Anitha R.  remarked that the main goal of this day is to reduce the number of diseases and deaths caused by cancer and create awareness among people.  Cancer prevention is the first step in reducing the risk of developing cancer.  This may include maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
